My Priorities
Strong Fiscal Oversight
Safeguarding the financial health of the district, especially as we transition in our per-pupil funding from the state funding formula to community-funded. We need to ensure our budget has stability so we can provide a high-quality education for our students.
Education
For the 21st Century
Technology is fast-paced and changing the world the world we live in. Education needs to change with it. We live in the heart of Silicon Valley and our schools should be leading the efforts to adapt and stay ahead of the curve so our students are equipped to succeed.
Our students need future-minded education that supports their social and emotional learning, that promotes collaboration, critical-thinking, problem-solving and innovative thinking that prepares them to be global contributors.
Supporting &
Equipping Teachers
Providing opportunities for collaboration and professional development for our teachers so they are empowered to teach across new and varying platforms and are motivated to stay in our district.
Building Community
Continuing to build trust with the community through increased communication and ongoing transparency in processes and decision-making.
Social and Emotional
Well Being
For our students to succeed in today's society, high-acheiving academics is not enough. Mental Health challenges are at an all-time high in our post-pandemic world. We need to support our students through holistic means - building a culture of belonging, creating safe spaces for students and staff, supporting extracurricular activities that enrich our students and focus on wellness.
